I was born in Barcelona, and I studied accounting, but I quickly realized that I was more inclined towards personal relationships and wanted to work with the public. I started working at El Corte Inglés, and at the age of 18, I attended a demonstration of some products that promised triple the profits of my fixed job, with fewer working hours.
I took courses in sales and interpersonal relationships, which helped me reach the top position in the cosmetics company I was leading. I have been very happy in my work. I held the position of Director, reporting directly to the company’s president, for 38 years, but I retired feeling exhausted, as I am someone who sets high expectations for myself. Nevertheless, I am completely satisfied and fulfilled.
I had always said that when I retired, I would travel and see the world. It was a declaration I constantly sent out to the universe. And as the universe always listens to us, something appeared. One day, a friend of a friend came to visit me and told me about a cruise club where I could travel much more economically than with any travel agency. At first, I didn’t believe it, but after confirming it for myself, I became a member.
Now I’m going to Los Angeles on my third cruise with the company, and what’s more, it’s completely free! Yes, it’s incredible but true. I travel for free on luxury cruises because the universe heard my request.
